The Paria Brush Finch (Arremon phygas) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family. It is found in the undergrowth of humid forest, especially near edges, at altitudes of in the Venezuelan Coastal Range.
The Paria Brush Finch was often treated as a subspecies of the Stripe-headed Brush Finch (A. torquatus), but was determined a distinct species, on the basis of differences in vocalization, plumage, and genetics.. The SACC split the group in 2010.
